Daycare Contract
You will receive an official copy of a Jane’s Daycare contract during our initial interview. The official copy will have a full version of my policies and fees.
Payment
Payment is due pick up time on Monday, except if the first day of the work week falls on a Tuesday or if your child is sick. A fee of $5.00 per day will be charged each day your payment is late. In addition there will be a specific fee for arriving earlier than my normal start time or later than my normal quitting time. This fee will be $5.00 per child for each additional 15 minutes you are early or late.
Holidays and Absences
As a professional daycare provider I expect to receive paid time off for the following holidays, which is consistent with normal industry practice.
- New Years Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving
- Friday immediately following Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve
- Christmas Day
When the listed holiday lands on a Saturday, the Friday before shall be the paid holiday, and when the listed holiday falls on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be the paid holiday.
I will also take five paid personal days per year. You will be notified well in advance of each date so alternative arrangements can be made.
Absences of the child are payable to the provider. Absences of the provider on dates other than those noted above are not payable.
Sick Children
Health Department regulations prohibit a contagious child in a group care. Accordingly, if your child becomes sick during the day, he/she will be isolated to prevent the spreading of germs. You will be notified and expected to pick up the child as soon as possible. Family sick days are important, so if you know your child is sick please do not send them. If you follow this rule we should have fewer missed days to due to another child causing your child illness.
I can only give medication if I have written authorization including what is to be given and when medication is needed.
Supplies
Parents are responsible for providing the following:
- Diapers/wet wipes if not potty trained
- Underwear/pull-ups if potty trained
- A complete change of clothes
- Toothbrush
- Formula and bottles, if an infant
Seasonal items:
- Swim suit and suntan lotion for the summer
- Coat, hat, gloves, mittens and boots for the winter
